The U.S. contribution to the DD line is the largest, reflecting their central role at Omaha and Utah beaches.

• Rangers

Figures for a Market Garden display

Although the DD line focuses on D-Day and Normandy, many of the British paratrooper sets can also be used to represent Operation Market Garden, the ambitious September 1944 airborne assault in the Netherlands. The red-beret paras armed with Stens and Enfields are versatile enough to stage dioramas from Arnhem, Nijmegen, or Eindhoven.

Collectors often mix DD paratroopers with King & Country’s dedicated MG (Market Garden) series, blending British airborne troops, Dutch civilians, and German opposition to recreate the “Bridge Too Far” battles. This flexibility makes the DD British figures a cornerstone for anyone building out broader Western Front airborne displays.

French Resistance

King & Country also devoted attention to the French Resistance, recognizing their importance in sabotaging German communications and assisting Allied troops.
