The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD413

The rifle lies more nearly across the front of the crouching soldier, his hands keeping it ready as he watches ahead. DD413 is the second distinct low rifleman pose in the Gold Beach collection.

A small difference can matter on the shelf

The angle of the rifle and the distribution of the body over the bent legs distinguish this figure from DD412. Those details are easier to compare in a clear individual photograph than in a crowded group shot.

The release title emphasizes readiness. The figure is neither marching upright nor depicted in the act of firing.

Use the pose at a transition

A gap beside a wall or the edge of a low bank can give the soldier a place from which to watch before moving again. The surrounding terrain should explain the lowered posture without concealing it.

Place an advancing figure beyond him and a supporting weapon to one side. The different positions can suggest a group moving in stages rather than all at once.

The regiment’s war continued inland

The Green Howards Museum’s campaign account describes the difficult fighting in Normandy’s enclosed countryside after the landings. That offers a broader setting for the collection’s cautious poses.

It does not identify this anonymous miniature with a particular hedgerow or action.

Released in June 2026, DD413 adds another useful level to an infantry display. Its catalog identity rests on the specific crouched stance and ready rifle, preserving a genuine separate release even where the neighboring title sounds similar.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD413 product record lists a release date of June 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
