King & Country DD387 Smoke Break: A Pause in the Tank Crew’s Day

The small gesture changes the mood

The bent arm and relaxed stance make this figure easy to distinguish from the binocular-carrying sergeant. His attention appears briefly inward, giving the surrounding crew scene a quieter participant.

The release’s smoking theme is explicit. Its speculative suggestion of a favorite brand is not needed to identify what the sculpt shows.

Look at the hands

The cigarette and raised hand are small but central details. A distant photograph may establish the pose while hiding the very feature that gives the release its title.

A frontal or side-quarter view should also show the can. The complete combination is more useful for identification than a general description of a tanker standing beside a box.

Introduced in June 2024, DD387 is an anonymous crewman. It does not require a claim that everyone smoked, or that this particular man had a known wartime history.

The figure belongs in the collection because the pause makes the larger group feel less formal. It adds an ordinary habit to the sequence of observing, carrying supplies and planning around the tank.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD387 product record lists a release date of June 2024. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
