King & Country DD108 Bren Gun Team: Three East Yorkshire Soldiers on Sword Beach

A team title with three figures

The archived description specifies the Bren gunner and two riflemen. It does not describe three men all serving the same weapon in identical roles.

The photo shows one rifleman low to the ground and the other more upright. That creates a broader infantry composition around the distinctive top-magazine gun.

Equipment gives the backs a story too

The carried load remains prominent behind the shoulders. A three-quarter view lets the viewer see those packs as well as the weapons and faces.

The figures reward more than a front-on glance; the equipment helps connect their poses with the idea of troops newly ashore.

Why this group belongs in the collection

DD108 opens the 2009 British infantry sequence with three different silhouettes. It can be compared with DD111’s prone Bren gunner to see how the same broad weapon role changes when the sculpt is brought close to the ground.

Keep the regiment and original three-man combination associated with the code.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD108 product record lists a release date of June 2009 and a retirement date of August 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
