The bow carries the number 76, with a Sherman inside the broad cargo well. DD394 is the companion LCM(3) to DD393, providing a second hull identity for the same large waterline design.
The difference is the hull number
The original release explicitly states that this version shares the details of No. 48. The number is therefore the reason for a separate catalog entry, not evidence of a different basic craft design.
Placed together, the two can suggest successive arrivals or parallel movement toward a beach. Keeping their hull numbers visible makes the distinction easy to follow.
The crew surround the cargo space
The offering includes a coxswain and two sailors manning the machine guns. The figures occupy the rear of the craft, leaving the central well for the represented vehicle load.
The model is approximately 51cm long and uses a movable bow ramp. It needs enough room for both the craft and the opening ramp when planning a display.
Check whether the original bundle survives
The first release offered a complimentary Sherman with each craft and announced 100 examples of each numbered hull. That describes the initial package, while a present-day seller may offer a different combination of retained pieces.
Compare the craft, three crew and any tank individually. A photograph of the original complete arrangement cannot establish what is included in a later listing.
Introduced in November 2025, DD394 extends the collection’s amphibious story. Its interest lies in the broad open well, the ramp and the movement between sea and shore, with No. 76 providing the identifying detail for this version.
