The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD405
The white helmet panel and red cross identify the medic at a glance. DD405 brings a medical role into the American Patrol group, with a bag carried at his side instead of a weapon in his hands.
The equipment changes the purpose of the movement
The bag and medical markings give the figure a different task from the riflemen around him. He is moving with the group, ready to attend to casualties rather than contribute another firing pose.
The release depicts him unarmed. That observation is enough to describe this miniature without turning the product text into a blanket statement about every wartime medic’s equipment.
The terrain mattered to casualty evacuation
An Army medical history report for V Corps in July 1944 records the exhausting litter carries south of Hill 192 and the need to reinforce the 2nd Division’s bearers. It shows that moving the wounded through the landscape was a substantial problem of its own.
This figure is not identified with that particular incident, but the report provides a useful historical setting for the medical work around the infantry.
Keep him connected to the group
A position a little behind the leading figures can suggest his supporting role. A casualty nearby changes the scene into an active aid vignette, while the medic alone can represent movement between tasks.
Introduced in August 2026, DD405 belongs in medical and support searches. The red-cross markings, bag and unarmed pose form its clear catalog identity.
It adds care and consequence to the patrol story, giving the collection a role beyond movement and firepower.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD405 product record lists a release date of August 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
