The East Yorkshire group

The release note for DD108–DD111 identifies these figures with the 2nd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, in the British 3rd Infantry Division. That gives the group a Sword Beach association within the catalog.

The D-Day series history follows the campaign beyond the shore. The individual set does not reproduce a named three-man incident.

Let the different moments remain visible

The wounded soldier works as a visual pause between the other two men. Placing a taller figure directly in front of him would hide the feature that gives this release its distinct character.

A shallow diagonal can preserve all three silhouettes without making the arrangement look artificially straight.

Why this is more than another attack set

DD110 contains the consequences of combat inside the action group itself. It therefore adds a different emotional note from a set in which every man continues forward.

Keeping the three original figures recorded together helps collectors recognize that design choice and distinguish the release from an assortment assembled later.
