About Operation ToyBox
A figure catalog built around identification and context
Operation ToyBox is an independent collector’s site covering King & Country and Del Prado. Its purpose is to help you identify a miniature, understand its subject and inspect the details before adding an example to your collection.
What goes into a figure study
The object
Set codes, photographs, poses and equipment. An archived description is compared with the image; discrepancies are kept visible rather than filled with guesses.
The history
Regiments, campaigns and the work the figure depicts, with links to museum, military-history and other reference sources. A generic figure is not assigned an invented personal biography.
The purchase
Parts to count, exposed details to inspect and questions to ask a seller. A single asking price is not presented as the value of every example.
Use the right starting point
For King & Country, start with the series catalogs and the release-code index. For Del Prado, the identification guide explains why the collection name and edition matter alongside the number. The site covers releases beyond my own collection.
The Operation ToyBox channel adds unboxings, display projects and interviews. OTB Companion connects set records with marketplace listings when you are ready to compare offers.
Corrections make the catalog more useful
If an entry is wrong, send the article link and the detail that needs correcting. A base inscription, original package title or manufacturer reference is more useful than a bare replacement number. The articles distinguish documented information from display suggestions, but the archive remains open to correction.
Independence and affiliate links
This is a fan-made resource, not an official manufacturer catalog. Some marketplace links use eBay Partner Network tracking, and I earn from qualifying purchases. Those links are identified beside the shopping sections. The set photographs, historical sources and condition notes should help you assess the subject before following a listing.
