The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD349
DD349 wears a brown jacket and dark cap while handling a Sten across his front. The armband identifies the Resistance theme, but the mixture of ordinary clothing and a British weapon carries much of the historical interest.
Supplying resistance was a material problem
The Musée de la Résistance’s parachute-container display includes Sten magazines and ammunition alongside medical dressings and food. The equipment needed to sustain resistance went beyond the gun itself.
That makes the figure a useful entry into the less visible supply story behind armed liberation. Its weapon connects the man to outside assistance, even though the release does not identify a particular drop or local group.
The action is in the hands
The manufacturer describes him preparing the Sten. The gun remains close to his body, with the sling forming a separate curve below the hands.
The jacket and cap create a civilian silhouette rather than a standardized infantry uniform. An armband and weapon can establish the sculpt’s intended role without giving it a named personal history.
Compare the three weapons in the group
DD348 carries an MP40, DD349 has the Sten and DD352 the larger Bren. The different equipment gives the Resistance selection variety while keeping each figure’s code meaningful.
DD349 is a single Maquisard. A display with additional fighters or supply containers is a collector’s arrangement, not the contents of this release.
The brown jacket, compact Sten and preparation gesture are the details to keep visible when identifying or photographing an example.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD349 product record lists a release date of October 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
