King & Country DD391 Liberation! Vive la France: A French Tricolor Above the Crowd

A plain tricolor has its own place

This flag should be distinguished from the much larger Cross of Lorraine banner carried by DD376. The two figures share a French setting but offer different flag designs and very different silhouettes.

DD391’s smaller banner leaves more open space around the face and raised arm. It can therefore fit into a tighter crowd without concealing as many neighboring figures.

Give the color a reason to be there

Point the gesture toward the soldiers or a shared focus in the street. The bright clothing and flag can then draw the viewer into the scene rather than floating as an unrelated patch of color.

The June 2024 release names no individual woman or exact location. It is a representative civilian figure whose meaning is carried by the pose and the tricolor.

DD391 belongs in the collection as a lively counterpart to the families, waiter and quieter spectators. Its raised flag helps establish the celebration while its small scale keeps the person beneath it visible.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD391 product record lists a release date of June 2024. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
