The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD388
A bedroll rests beside the tanker’s boots, while a shoulder holster crosses his chest. DD388 presents a newly arrived replacement, giving the crew collection a character whose story begins at the edge of an existing group.
The bedroll supplies the introduction
The figure stands with one hand at his waist and a paper-like item held down in the other. The release does not identify the paper, so it should not automatically be described as a specific set of orders.
King & Country’s narrative identifies him as a Tech 5 replacement arriving from a depot. The bedroll and relatively unhurried stance fit that intended setting.
Use the individual reference image
The dealer gallery also contains a promotional lineup of several tankers. This article uses the separate photograph of DD388 so that the replacement is not mistaken for a multi-figure package.
The bedroll, shoulder holster and standing pose are the key details to compare. The other men from the lineup are separate releases.
A different relationship with the crew
Place him just outside a conversation around a tank or map. A little space can suggest that he has arrived but has not yet joined the activity.
That is a display interpretation, not a named soldier’s biography. The original text’s speculation about how he obtained his holster is likewise unnecessary to establish the model’s identity.
Released in June 2024, DD388 adds arrival and change to the collection’s crew scenes. It is a useful reminder that a unit’s people were not a permanently fixed cast, even when the same vehicle remained at the center of their work.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD388 product record lists a release date of June 2024. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
