The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD415
The soldier draws back his grenade-throwing arm while moving forward with his equipment. DD415 gives the Gold Beach group an action that rises above the usual line of rifles and helmets.

The grenade makes the gesture readable
The release identifies the weapon as a Mills bomb. The small object in the raised hand is therefore central to the figure’s identity, even though it occupies very little space in the photograph.
A close view of the hand and arm is useful when comparing an example. The action can become ambiguous if that detail is hidden or missing.
The unit’s fighting involved more than rifles
The Green Howards Museum’s campaign timeline records the use of grenades during the fighting at La Taille in July 1944. That is a historical example from the regiment’s campaign, not an identification of this particular miniature’s scene.
The figure can represent the broader grenade role without being assigned an invented personal action.
Give the arm room above the group
A position slightly behind a lower rifleman lets the throwing gesture remain visible. Tall foliage immediately behind the arm can obscure the feature that makes the figure interesting.
The June 2026 release adds variety to the collection’s equipment and body movement. The manufacturer’s general ammunition-load claims are not needed to understand this individual pose.
DD415 earns its place as a strong visual interruption in the infantry line: the eye follows the raised hand, then returns to the moving body and the soldiers around it.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD415 product record lists a release date of June 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
