The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD276
With his hands at his waist and a garrison cap above the jump uniform, DD276 gives Colonel Robert F. Sink a commanding presence without a drawn weapon. The figure represents the real officer who led the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Look beyond one famous company
Easy Company’s prominence in Band of Brothers can make the larger regiment recede into the background. Sink’s position brings that wider organization back into view: his command extended beyond the one company most familiar to television audiences.
The U.S. Army’s Carentan staff-ride material identifies Sink as the 506th’s commander throughout the Second World War. That continuity gives the portrait a substantial historical role within the airborne collection.
The manufacturer places him before D-Day
The release description presents Sink in his jump suit delivering orders before the Normandy operation. The sculpt leaves the front of the uniform open to view, with the hands and elbows framing the torso rather than concealing it.
The cap also distinguishes him from the helmeted and camouflaged action figures. In a small group, the difference in headgear helps the viewer locate the named officer quickly.
A real man and a later portrayal
Dale Dye played Sink in Band of Brothers, while DD275 portrays Dye during weapons instruction for another production. The neighboring catalog entries make a useful pair, provided their identities remain clear.
DD276 is the historical colonel; DD275 is the modern adviser at work. Their connection belongs to the later interpretation of the war, not to a shared wartime scene.
Sink adds the regimental level to a collection often built around individual paratroopers and small teams. His restrained stance works particularly well where the viewer can see the cap, face and hands together, allowing the named portrait to anchor a group without overpowering it.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD276 product record lists a release date of November 2015 and a retirement date of January 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
