DD338(G) brings a standing, vocal figure to the grass-base British infantry. The turned head and open mouth carry the scene, while the Sten stays close to the torso.
A short weapon with a distinctive outline
The Slovak Military History Museum identifies the Sten Mark II with a magazine mounted on the left side and 9mm ammunition. That side projection helps distinguish it from both a rifle and the Bren’s top-mounted magazine.
These differences are useful when looking at miniatures: the weapon is not simply a generic dark shape in the hands.
The grass finish is the variant
The figure shares its shouting-sergeant subject with DD338(B). Here, the green base makes it easier to place him among the matching inland riflemen and Bren gunners without a patch of beach-colored ground breaking the scene.
The release does not identify a personal biography or a specific spoken order. The expression gives enough character to support an interpretation without adding fictional historical claims.

Place the kneeling officer DD337(G) to one side and an advancing pair farther forward. The officer looks, the sergeant communicates and the riflemen move; the different poses can create a readable sequence.
All are separate releases, so the relationship comes from the collector’s arrangement. DD338(G) contributes the standing link between quieter observation and active movement, with the green base preserving the inland setting.
