King & Country DD318-S04 Diamond T with Sd.Kfz. 234/1 Armored Car: A German Vehicle on an American Trailer

The combination is a collecting scenario

The package adds WS197, King & Country’s Sd.Kfz. 234/1, to the DD318 transporter. The German vehicle’s presence on an American trailer suggests possibilities such as the movement of captured equipment.

That is a display interpretation, not a documented capture or transport mission involving the exact modeled vehicle. The product record establishes the contents of the bundle, rather than a named wartime event.

The full code prevents a mix-up

DD318 on its own is the transporter combination. DD318-S04 includes the WS197 armored car. Retaining both codes explains why a German WS-series subject appears in an otherwise American DD-series offering.

This also makes the bundle searchable by the two national connections without changing the historical service identity of either vehicle.

Its collecting appeal lies in the unexpected pairing and the contrasting mechanical shapes. The truck, low deck and compact armored car create a different scene from another tank firing beside infantry.

For an offered example, check the transporter and the complete WS197 component separately, including the commander. The S04 suffix identifies the combined package, so a photograph of only the camouflaged armored car does not establish that the rest of the bundle is present.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD318-S04 product record lists a release date of April 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
