The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD224
White stars and the prominent D-05 marking identify the appearance of DD224. The small tank carries a turret crew figure, rear stowage and a long antenna, giving its olive finish several clear points of interest.

The collectible’s identity comes first
King & Country sold this release as an M3A3 Stuart in an American post-D-Day setting. The saved photograph confirms the model’s American markings and the specific arrangement of turret, hull and equipment.
The old description’s broader claim about M3A3 service in U.S. tank battalions is not independently established here. Treat DD224 as this documented manufacturer release rather than using the paint scheme alone as proof of a particular wartime vehicle.
The Stuart family has similar-looking branches
The Museum of American Armor’s M5A1 history explains how an enlarged turret associated with the M3A3 was also used in the M5A1’s development.
That family resemblance is useful to understand when comparing miniatures. A turret shape or the general Stuart name is not enough to erase differences between M3 and M5 variants.
Compare the two King & Country Stuarts
DD223 supplies the British version, with a yellow turret diamond and British commander. DD224 replaces those conspicuous cues with American stars, D-05 and its own crew presentation.
Put their reference photographs together and the release distinction becomes much clearer than it is in a listing titled only Stuart tank. The markings are part of what collectors are actually buying.
The stowage gives the olive hull texture
Rolled equipment at the rear breaks up the broad upper surfaces, while the turret figure draws the eye upward. A front-quarter angle shows the running gear and the sloping hull together.
DD224 belongs in the catalog as a separately identifiable American-painted M3A3 release. Recording both its visible details and the limit of its campaign attribution makes the entry useful for collectors and historical readers alike.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD224 product record lists a release date of May 2014 and a retirement date of August 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
