The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD353
DD353 kneels with his rifle upright and one hand resting near the raised knee. The pose feels settled and attentive, providing a quieter British infantry subject among the firing and running men.
The absence of a base is intentional
The release description places DD353 with DD343 and DD344 as figures designed without scenic bases. That allows the body to meet a chosen surface directly, whether inside a landing craft or on open ground.
A loose example should therefore not be rejected as incomplete simply because it lacks a sand or grass platform. The no-base design is part of the release’s identity.
Look at the relationship between hand and rifle
The weapon rises beside the helmet while the torso remains low. This gives the figure a narrow vertical accent without the height of a standing rifleman.
The pack and webbing stay visible around the bent body. The reference photograph shows enough of the rear equipment to distinguish the kneeling shape from a simple seated figure.
A useful pause in a larger group
Placed behind a firing rifleman, DD353 can suggest waiting rather than participating in the same instant of action. In a craft, the low body keeps the side of the boat and the figures behind it visible.
The sculpt is an anonymous British infantry interpretation. It does not identify a particular soldier, order or wartime photograph.
DD353 belongs in the catalog for its specific combination of upright rifle, ready kneel and no scenic base. Those details give it a different use from the crawling and compact crouching figures nearby in the range.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD353 product record lists a release date of September 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
