King & Country DD309 Kneeling Rifleman: A Lower Firing Line for the American Infantry

A simple pose can clarify a larger group

DD307 supplies movement and DD308 a cautious turn. DD309 offers a more settled point of attention, with the body lowered and the rifle already aimed.

Those differences help a small selection feel like several individuals in different positions. They need not be arranged in a straight line or aimed across one another.

Keep the face close to the stock in view

A front-quarter angle shows how the helmet, cheek and rifle relate. A view directly along the barrel can hide the hands and make the body appear more compressed than it is.

A low bank can support the scene, but it should not obscure the forward knee and lower leg. The height and supporting posture are the details that make this release distinct.

The catalog record does not assign the man a name, regiment or exact battlefield. Its supported subject is the American infantry rifleman in a kneeling firing position.

DD309 earns its place by providing that clear lower silhouette within the wider rifle group. The pose is familiar, but the relationship between the grounded knee, raised rifle and forward attention gives the miniature its own identity.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD309 product record lists a release date of December 2017 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability.
