The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD204
DD204 combines a low gun shield, two large wheels and a long box trail over a circular firing platform. A seated gunner gives this British 25-pounder a human scale without concealing its recognizable shape.

The collecting memory in the original announcement
The release text looked back to childhood models by Britains, Lone Star and Dinky. That is a fitting theme for Operation ToyBox: a historical weapon can also carry memories of the miniature versions through which collectors first encountered it.
King & Country’s offering belongs to that collecting tradition, but it has its own sculpt, finish and seated crew figure.
A British and Commonwealth artillery subject
The Australian War Memorial’s 25-pounder record describes the type’s place in British and Commonwealth artillery and its Australian manufacture. The real gun’s history extends well beyond one national army or campaign.
This particular release is the British field-gun version in an olive finish. It should not be confused with the Australian short 25-pounder or another specialized variant simply because they share the familiar name.
The circle beneath the wheels
The firing platform is one of the model’s most distinctive features. The War Memorial record explains its relationship to traversing the gun; visually, it also provides a broad, low base beneath the carriage.
The long trail then reaches behind the shield, creating space for additional crew. An angled view reveals that working area better than a photograph taken directly from the muzzle.
Build the group one release at a time
The announcement specifies a removable seated gunner. DD205, DD206 and DD207 supply additional crew, while DD202 provides the tractor and limber.
Those separate codes allow a collector to choose a firing scene or a transport arrangement. Keeping them distinct also makes it easier to understand exactly what a seller is offering.
DD204 earns its place through the combination of military history, a memorable mechanical outline and the long connection between field-gun models and toy-soldier collecting.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD204 product record lists a release date of July 2013 and a retirement date of March 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
