The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD344
DD344 folds the British rifleman into a low crouch with the rifle held across his front. The compact shape makes him a useful figure for spaces where a standing soldier would tower above the surrounding scene.

The missing base is not a fault
King & Country designed this figure without a scenic base. The release description suggests use on a beach, in a field, on a tank or inside a landing craft.
Those are display possibilities rather than included accessories. The release is the individual crouching rifleman, and any vehicle or scenery needs to be identified separately.
The hands and rifle define the pose
The weapon sits low across the knees while the helmeted head leans over it. Unlike DD339’s upright rifle, this horizontal line keeps the entire figure within a comparatively shallow height.
The pack rises behind the shoulders and prevents the rear outline from becoming flat. A front-quarter angle reveals both the carried load and the low weapon.
A useful companion to the taller figures
Inside a landing craft, a crouching figure can leave the sides and crew visible. On open ground, it can create a transition between a standing rifleman and the fully prone DD343.
The pose does not identify an individual soldier or reproduce a named episode. Its historical setting comes from the British D-Day equipment and the surrounding series.
DD344’s collecting value is the specific base-free crouch. Preserve a clear photograph of the knees, weapon and pack so it is not confused with another low British figure whose posture or equipment differs.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD344 product record lists a release date of September 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
