Their shared equipment connects them as British infantry, but the different heights prevent the group from becoming a miniature parade.
Keep the grass variant identifiable
DD345(B) is the sand-base counterpart. DD345(G) gives the same advancing-pair subject a green ground finish suitable for joining the inland British figures.
The terrain is the collecting distinction. A different photographic angle can make one version look like a new pose, so compare the actual figures and bases rather than relying on the way the reference image is arranged.
Give each man enough room
The rifles extend ahead of the bodies. Place the pair with space between their weapon lines, allowing the viewer to follow both advances.
The standing sergeant DD338(G) can add a leadership gesture nearby, while DD340(G) brings the bulkier Bren into the same green-base group. These are separate releases that expand the scene.
DD345(G) belongs in the catalog as the complete two-rifleman grass variant. The lower and higher advancing poses together establish the set’s identity, making a clear paired photograph especially useful when checking an unboxed example.
