The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD304
The Daimler in DD304 combines a compact four-wheel hull with a small turret and a crew commander looking out above it. The olive-drab finish places this release in King & Country’s northwest-European selection rather than its earlier desert interpretation.

More than the smaller Dingo
The manufacturer distinguishes the heavier Daimler armored car from the Dingo scout car developed alongside it. The turret carries a 2-pounder gun and a coaxial Besa, giving the vehicle a different silhouette and equipment role.
The spare wheel, rounded tires and angular upper body create several contrasting shapes within a modest footprint. A side-quarter view shows those relationships more clearly than a photograph directly along the gun.
The commander supplies a regimental connection
King & Country identifies the NCO commander with the 11th Hussars. The National Army Museum’s regimental history follows the unit’s armored-car role and service through the Second World War, including the northwest-European campaign.
The miniature’s commander attribution is the clearest unit identification in the release. The promotional wording around the vehicle’s formation markings is less precise, so this catalog does not turn a painted number into a confidently asserted brigade identity.
A useful vehicle beside the dismounted crews
DD301 and DD302 can add British crew activity nearby. They are separate releases and do not become included figures simply because they suit the same display.
The Daimler’s relatively small size lets those standing and kneeling men remain prominent. Keep the turret commander visible so the occupied vehicle does not become merely a backdrop.
What makes this version identifiable
The olive-drab treatment, turret, spare wheel and commander are the details to compare with the reference image. The full DD304 code separates the northwest-European release from other Daimler versions.
It adds a recognizable British wheeled reconnaissance subject to the catalog, with the crew portrait providing a human focal point above the armor.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD304 product record lists a release date of March 2017 and a retirement date of March 2022. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
