The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD200
DD200 places a British commando behind a German sentry in a tightly connected two-person scene. The original product title describes the violent action; the miniature’s collecting identity rests on the complete paired sculpt.

The photograph shows one scene twice
The reference combines front and back views. The second view reveals the commando’s webbing and the relationship between the figures that is partly hidden from the front.
This is a two-figure vignette, not two separate pairs. That distinction matters when comparing a listing that reuses the combined reference image without explaining it.
From equipment to an enduring emblem
A first-pattern Fairbairn-Sykes knife in the National Army Museum is associated with Major Alan Smallman of No.3 Commando around 1941. The object provides a documented link between an individual serviceman and the equipment strongly associated with the wartime commandos.
The anonymous figures in DD200 are not identified as Smallman or anyone he encountered. Their scene is the manufacturer’s composition.
Read the sales narrative critically
The archived description makes graphic claims about injury and the speed of death. This catalog does not repeat those assertions as fact. They add little to identifying the miniature and are not a substitute for historical evidence.
A more useful retrospective considers how close-combat imagery became part of the public picture of commandos, alongside the less dramatic work of movement, communication and coordination represented by other releases.
Give both figures a visible outline
A slight turn of the base can separate the sentry’s rifle from the overlapping bodies. Keep surrounding walls or vegetation low enough that the rear figure remains visible.
DD200 belongs beside DD198 as a distinct action composition. The two releases explore a similar theme, but their body positions and overall outlines differ. Recording each complete pair preserves that difference without turning the catalog into a sensational retelling of imagined injuries.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD200 product record lists a release date of July 2013 and a retirement date of June 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
