King & Country DD318-S02 Diamond T with Valentine Mk III: A British Tank on an American Transporter

The package crosses national design lines

This offering combines DD318’s Diamond T transporter with the DD189 Valentine Mk III. The truck and tank have different design origins, a useful reminder that Allied equipment did not stay within neat national categories.

The National Army Museum’s Diamond T photograph records the American-built transporter’s allocation to Commonwealth armies through Lend-Lease. The vehicle type’s wider service explains why the pairing is an interesting collecting subject.

A small tank makes the trailer’s length visible

The deck extends around the compact armored load, allowing the trailer’s structure to remain part of the scene. The tractor’s tall cab provides another change of height ahead of the low tank.

The package is a manufacturer’s combination and should not be presented as a photographically documented convoy or a named historical transport mission.

DD318-S02’s appeal lies in the contrast of scale and function: a compact British tank carried by a large American-designed support vehicle. It offers a different collecting story from displaying the Valentine alone.

For a complete example, check the tractor and trailer as well as the DD189 tank and its commander. The bundle suffix promises the combined offering, so each component deserves its own clear photograph.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD318-S02 product record lists a release date of April 2019 and a retirement date of October 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
