The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD403
The soldier bends forward with his scoped rifle carried low, his attention directed beyond the edge of the base. DD403 depicts the sniper moving rather than lying in a prepared firing position.

The scope is a small but decisive feature
King & Country identifies the weapon as an M1903A4 Springfield with a telescopic sight. That detail distinguishes the figure from the Garand-armed rifleman even when both are photographed from a distance.
A close view of the upper rifle is therefore especially useful when matching a loose figure to its code.
A specialist still has to move
The low carriage and forward lean make the figure suitable for a transition between positions. The sculpt does not require a dramatic distant target or a claim about a particular shot.
At the edge of a larger infantry display, the pose can suggest someone watching a different part of the landscape while continuing with the group.
Avoid the invisible invented duel
The title identifies a role, but no named soldier, adversary or engagement accompanies the release. The miniature is more convincing when its visible equipment and movement carry the story.
A sparse setting leaves the rifle and scope clear. Heavy foliage can easily obscure the identifying detail without adding much to the figure’s meaning.
Released in August 2026, DD403 broadens the weapons and postures within the American Patrol collection. Its place is the moving sniper with the scoped Springfield, providing a different silhouette and implied task from the upright leaders or the long-barreled BAR gunner.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD403 product record lists a release date of August 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
