The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD192
The curved magazine above the weapon identifies DD192’s Bren at a glance. The lance corporal carries it across his body in a broad standing pose, making the gun’s bulk central to the miniature.

The name remembers two places
The National Army Museum’s Bren record explains the name’s connection to Brno, where the design originated, and Enfield, where the British version was manufactured. It is a small word carrying an international industrial history.
That background adds something interesting to a figure otherwise easy to file simply as a British machine gunner.
A miniature connection inside the museum
The Australian War Memorial also holds a maker’s presentation model of a prototype Bren. Miniature representations therefore belonged to the weapon’s own industrial history as well as its later life as a collecting subject.
That presentation piece is a separate historical object, not a connection claimed for King & Country’s sculpt. It offers an enjoyable parallel for a toy-soldier catalog.
The weapon creates the composition
The Bren’s top magazine rises in front of the man’s chest, while the barrel reaches well beyond his left hand. The legs are spread beneath the load, giving the whole figure a broad footprint.
Because the weapon is held lower than a shoulder-fired rifle, the face remains visible above it. A modest front-quarter angle lets the viewer see both the expression and the gun’s recognizable profile.
Finding his place among the commandos
DD193 and DD194 provide riflemen at two heights, while DD191 adds the shorter Thompson. These differences allow a small group to suggest varied equipment without repeating one silhouette.
DD192 contributes the most substantial weapon outline among those individual figures. Its appeal lies in the combination of a familiar British service image, the Czech connection behind the design and the sculpt’s broad, purposeful stance.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD192 product record lists a release date of July 2013 and a retirement date of September 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
