King & Country DD294 Texas Toy Soldier Show Ike: An All-Olive Version of the Familiar Jacket Portrait

Three Ike releases make a useful comparison

• DD284: short brown jacket with lighter pinks trousers.
• DD291: longer four-pocket officer’s jacket.
• DD294: the Texas version in matching olive-drab jacket and trousers.

The complete codes preserve those distinctions. They should not be collapsed into one generic Eisenhower entry simply because the face and broad stance are familiar.

The show connection belongs to the release history

King & Country announced 200 pieces of this Texas version. That gives the figure an event-related collecting identity alongside its historical subject.

The edition statement records the manufacturer’s production claim. It does not establish what a particular example is worth today or whether its packaging and condition are complete.

DD294 also appears as the Eisenhower addition in the DD315-3 promotional planning-group combination. That later association is useful when identifying a figure separated from a larger group.

The release earns its place through a specific uniform treatment and show history. Seen beside DD284 and DD291, it turns a familiar commander’s portrait into a small study of how clothing, color and release context create distinct collectible versions.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD294 product record lists a release date of May 2016 and a retirement date of June 2018. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability.
