The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD327
The upright radio beside one crouching Ranger gives DD327 a detail that is easy to overlook among the weapons. Two riflemen and a Thompson-carrying sergeant complete a four-man group concentrated close to the ground.

Information mattered after the landing
The U.S. Army’s Omaha Beachhead history records unsuccessful attempts to reach 1st Division units by radio as troops moved beyond the beach. Communication remained difficult even after men began getting inland.
The model is not a reconstruction of that particular radio attempt. The historical example helps explain why a communications figure belongs within a combat group rather than only at a distant headquarters.
Four figures with separate identities
King & Country specifies two kneeling riflemen, a kneeling sergeant with a Thompson and a crouching NCO with a carbine and walkie-talkie. The reference image gives those roles different head and arm positions.
The radio-equipped man holds the device near his face while the carbine remains visible beside him. That combination is the set’s clearest individual identifying feature.
The lower poses create a compact group
The figures can be arranged around a small patch of beach or low cover. Their different weapons and hand positions keep the scene varied even though none needs to tower over the others.
A moving pair such as DD326 can extend the arrangement, but remains a separate release. The original contents of DD327 are the four Rangers described here.
The set earns its place by combining riflemen, leadership and communication within one group. Its interest is the mix of tasks, not simply the number of figures.
When documenting an example, make sure the radio and all four men are visible. They distinguish this release from other Ranger groups with similar low poses.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD327 product record lists a release date of June 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
