King & Country DD316 Private James Francis Ryan: A Film Character with a Bazooka and an Uncovered Face

The manufacturer chooses a pause in the story

The announcement identifies the encounter outside Ramelle after the character has used a bazooka against a German half-track. The miniature shows him afterward, with the weapon lowered into a carrying position and the helmet removed.

It is a deliberate alternative to another firing pose. The tall launcher gives the body a strong vertical line, while the helmet hangs lower on the opposite side.

A connection to the film-inspired Rangers

The wider DD collection includes Captain Miller and other subjects associated with the film. Ryan adds the person around whom the fictional rescue mission is organized, rather than another member of the search party.

The paratrooper clothing also distinguishes him from the Rangers. Keeping that service identity in the catalog makes the film grouping easier to understand.

DD316’s appeal is the combination of a recognizable cinematic subject and a quiet, easily read pose. It offers an opportunity to discuss the movie alongside the real campaign while keeping their different kinds of evidence clear.

For identification, look for the bare head, separate held helmet and upright bazooka together. The figure is one character, not a launcher team or a set containing an additional helmeted version.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD316 product record lists a release date of March 2018 and a retirement date of June 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability.
