The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD393
The Sherman sits deep within the landing craft, below the raised sides and behind the bow ramp. DD393 brings a much larger ship-to-shore transport into the D-Day collection, identified by hull number 48.

The tank explains the craft’s purpose
The release presents the LCM(3) as a vehicle-carrying landing craft. In the reference image, the open well and broad ramp make that role easier to understand than a list of dimensions could.
This is a waterline model, intended to sit on a surface representing the sea rather than display a complete underwater hull.
What the original offering included
The November 2025 announcement specifies a model approximately 51cm long, three Navy crew figures and a hand-operated ramp mechanism beneath a removable rear section. The crew comprise a coxswain and two machine gunners.
The initial offering also included a complimentary D-Day Sherman, with 100 examples of this hull number and 100 of No. 76 announced. That original bundle is not a guarantee that a later resale listing includes the tank.
A landing scene needs space in front
The bow ramp provides the direction of movement. Leave room beyond it so the tank appears to have somewhere to go, rather than stopping at the edge of a shelf.
A low sea surface and a gently rising beach can suggest the transition without concealing the hull number. A higher viewing angle is useful for seeing the tank and all three crew.
DD393 earns its place through the relationship between ship and cargo. It offers a transport scene large enough to make the movement of armor from water to land the main subject.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD393 product record lists a release date of November 2025. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
