The regiment’s campaign continued inland
The National Army Museum’s South Lancashire Regiment history follows the 1st Battalion from Sword Beach through fighting in France, the Netherlands and Germany.
The release description identifies this team with the regiment, but the green finish does not pinpoint a particular day or location. It offers an inland setting for the same general infantry subject.
The second man matters
The rifle and ammunition box distinguish the companion from the Bren gunner. He is not simply a duplicate running figure added to make a larger set.
The shared low movement visually connects them. Seen from the side, the gun and box also show how their equipment is divided between the two bodies.
Choose the variant by the ground
DD355(B) is the sand-base counterpart. The G version blends with the grass-base riflemen, officer and sergeant elsewhere in this part of the D-Day range.

DD355(G) belongs in the catalog as the complete two-man grass variant. The poses, separate loads and terrain finish together give collectors a clear reference for identifying a boxed or loose example.

Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
