King & Country DD317 Dead and Wounded GIs: Three Casualties at Different Heights

The title records casualties, not named deaths

King & Country presents three American casualties in different poses. The figures are not identified as named soldiers, and the sculpt cannot establish the medical outcome of every visible injury.

The upright man’s wound, the lowered figure’s supporting arm and the fully horizontal body give the group its visual progression. Each figure contributes a different part of the composition.

A transposed code in the description

The archived page title and product record identify DD317, but the description begins with DD371. The matching three-figure reference and the DD317 listing establish the code used here; the transposition should not create a second assumed set.

This is precisely the kind of small catalog error worth recording when building a reference collection.

DD317 adds a sober part of the infantry story. A restrained arrangement can keep attention on the people and the need for assistance rather than turn the figures into background decoration.

When checking a complete example, account for all three bodies and their different postures. A single fallen figure offered under a general casualty title does not constitute the full release.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD317 product record lists a release date of August 2018 and a retirement date of March 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
