The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD402

The gunner carries the Browning Automatic Rifle across his front, its long barrel and substantial body making a strong horizontal line. DD402 gives the American Patrol figures a distinct supporting-weapon role.

The BAR changes the balance of the pose

The weapon stretches farther across the figure than a carbine or submachine gun. His hands and stance support that weight visually, making the gun central to the composition.

The release identifies the Browning Automatic Rifle as a source of mobile supporting fire. The miniature itself depicts the man carrying it forward rather than settled into a static position.

Let the riflemen move around him

A nearby advancing rifleman can establish the gunner as part of a moving group. Slightly different angles help the weapons remain separate instead of merging into a row of parallel barrels.

A low bank can frame the figure, provided it does not hide the long weapon that gives him his identity.

One supporting weapon does not make a complete unit

The American Patrol releases offer a selection of roles for a collector. They should not be treated automatically as a complete, regulation-strength wartime squad simply because the figures are displayed together.

The August 2026 product record identifies this individual BAR gunner. Other figures and scenic accessories remain separate releases.

DD402 earns its place through the contrast between its heavier weapon and the patrol’s smaller arms. It gives the group another recognizable job while retaining a forward-moving pose that fits the overall character of the collection.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD402 product record lists a release date of August 2026. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
