The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD315-2

The Eisenhower figure in DD315-2 wears the longer four-pocket officer’s jacket, distinguishing this planning-group combination from the versions with a short Ike jacket. Five commanders stand before the same broad invasion-map setting.

The second suffix has a specific addition

Sager’s record identifies DD291 as the Eisenhower figure in this version. The May 2018 manufacturer announcement establishes the shared DD315 group and three promotional additions.

The dealer description repeats DD315-1 in its opening line, but the page code and DD291 reference identify this as the second combination. That small copying error should not merge the two listings.

The map makes the collection about planning

The large board brings routes and coastlines into the composition. The different uniforms stand out against its pale surface, giving each figure a clear silhouette.

The group represents Allied command and planning as a collecting theme. It should not be described as an exact reconstruction of a photographed meeting simply because the named men are placed together.

Compare the jacket before comparing the box

The longer hem and pocket arrangement separate DD291 from DD284’s short jacket and DD294’s all-olive version. A full-length photograph of the Eisenhower addition is therefore especially useful.

The four other commanders and board remain essential to the combination. An isolated DD291 is the separately cataloged portrait, not a complete DD315-2.

A clear variation within a shared group

The three promotional codes provide a compact example of how one changed figure can create separate release identities. The point is to record the actual contents rather than assume a new sculpt for every suffix.

DD315-2 earns its own entry through that specific uniform addition. Seen beside the other planning combinations, it makes the difference between the longer officer’s jacket and the short Ike portraits easy to appreciate.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD315-2 product record lists a release date of May 2018 and a retirement date of April 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
