King & Country · Napoleonic · NA067
NA067 is a defensive Highlander, braced low with the musket and bayonet angled outward. The pose introduces a different intention from a kneeling firing figure, despite the similar height.

Follow the butt and the gaze
A firing figure brings the weapon into an aiming relationship with the shoulder and eye. NA067 presents it as part of a defensive barrier. That is the useful distinction to notice when comparing him with NA050. Both can belong to a battle display, but they describe different moments and should not be labeled as interchangeable “kneeling riflemen.”
A corner can tell the story
A small section of a square is often more readable than attempting the entire formation with too few figures. Put NA067 at a front corner and angle nearby standing men to continue the same defensive direction. The kilt and bent knee remain visible if the terrain is kept low.
Inspect the projecting weapon
The bayonet is the most conspicuous thin part, but the hand-to-stock connection and bonnet details matter too. Compare the direction of the barrel with the reference image. A bent weapon can change the apparent action from a controlled defensive pose to an awkward angle, even when the rest of the casting is undamaged.
