USMC059 portrays Lewis “Chesty” Puller pointing ahead, with an M1 carbine slung over his right shoulder and a pipe in his left hand. The upright figure wears a soft cap rather than the camouflage-covered helmet seen on many combat releases. The equipment and gesture give the portrait its character without an elaborate base.
USMC052 pairs a kneeling Marine with a sitting black-and-brown dog. The handler keeps a shotgun upright beside him, with a holstered pistol at his hip; the dog looks toward the man rather than lunging at an unseen enemy. King & Country calls the dog “Sailor” in its release description.
USMC012 kneels with a handset raised to his ear and an M1 carbine resting close against him. From behind, the large radio pack and long aerial explain the pose; from the front, the open mouth and concentrated expression carry the scene. This is one Marine performing two jobs: keeping a weapon within reach while listening and transmitting.
NA124 depicts a cantinière in a mixture of military and civilian clothing, with a small barrel at her side. A red jacket and decorated hat sit above a green skirt and pale apron. The figure carries no weapon; the barrel identifies her commercial role around the troops.
A standing cuirassier holds a saddle and associated equipment in NA122. He wears his helmet and breastplate, while the bulky load fills much of the space in front of him. No horse is included, despite the clearly cavalry-centered subject.
A Marine holds a leash while a German Shepherd lowers its nose toward the ground. VN050 contains the handler and dog; the reference sheet shows the same pair from two angles. The Marine retains his weapon and field equipment while following the animal’s lead.
A female Viet Cong figure carries a wooden box high against her shoulder in VN028. Her rifle remains slung beside her body, while both arms help manage the load. Bare lower legs and dark clothing contrast with the more heavily equipped American figures in the same series.
A German mechanic cups one hand to his mouth while carrying a toolbox in the other. His cap, grey-green jacket and work trousers give him a practical appearance. FW101 belongs to the airfield support group and includes no aircraft or separate engine.
FW100 shows a German serviceman kneeling beside a field telephone, with the receiver held to his ear. The box, cable and his listening pose form a small, self-contained scene. King & Country presented him among its German airfield support figures rather than as an airborne radio operator.
FW092 is a Mercedes staff vehicle with an enclosed rear compartment, outside steps and a side canopy. A driver is included at the wheel; the Kaiser is not. The tall body, roofline and elaborate front lamps give it a markedly different character from an ordinary open staff car.
