A light blue coat and a long raised weapon give this dragoon a crisp mounted silhouette. The Hanoverian name identifies a regional tradition, while the 1871 date places the figure after Hanover had lost its independent kingdom.
Tall headgear, red trousers and a dark horse give this mounted honour guard an elegant ceremonial outline. The subject represents the southern Italian monarchy, while its dealer date range needs to be read with care.
Blue and red clothing, a patterned shoulder garment and a brown horse give this Arlabán hussar a vivid appearance. The figure adds nineteenth-century Spain to a cavalry shelf that can otherwise be dominated by Napoleonic subjects.
The blue-grey uniform and brown horse give this Russian hussar a restrained appearance. The Del Prado reference shows the figure in its blister, preserving a useful label for a subject often overshadowed by British accounts of the Crimean War.
The lifted arm and rearing horse make this Del Prado captain a dramatic mounted figure. Yellow trim stands out against the subdued uniform, placing the visual emphasis on command and movement.
A dark green uniform and red details stand above a pale horse. Del Prado’s Austrian 7th Uhlans trumpeter carries the cavalry catalog beyond the Napoleonic wars into the middle of the nineteenth century.
The blue jacket and tall shako belong to the 4th Light Dragoons before the regiment became hussars. That name matters: this is a Light Brigade subject, not a rider from the similarly numbered heavy cavalry.
The long lance and turban make an immediate visual statement. The name “Bengal Lancer” needs more care: it describes a military setting, not one uniform shared by every rider or a modern national boundary.
The lowered lance makes the intention unmistakable. Behind this small khaki-clad rider lies an encounter in which the ground concealed far more danger than the cavalry expected.
