King & Country · Napoleonic · NA004
NA004 takes the same firing task as a standing infantryman and lowers it almost to the height of the neighboring figures’ belts. The result gives an infantry display a front edge and a clear direction of attention.

Read the figure from an angle
The kneeling leg, shoulder and outstretched musket are easiest to read from three quarters. A direct front view can hide both the bent knee and much of the weapon. The pack remains high behind the shoulders, so the crouch does not erase the impression of a soldier carrying his campaign equipment into action.
Where the regiment fits
The National Army Museum records the 71st’s light-infantry conversion in 1809. A long regimental history does not make one sculpt an exact uniform reference for every campaign. For a named scene, compare the depicted headgear and clothing with a dated reference, then use the release code to keep the model’s identity separate from the scenario.
A practical front-rank figure
Place NA004 slightly ahead of NA003, leaving an open channel along each barrel. For buying checks, ask for the bayonet tip, knee and underside of the base. The low pose is visually compact but does not make the projecting weapon less vulnerable to packing damage. A clear side photograph is particularly useful here.
