King & Country · Napoleonic · NA007
NA007 leans into a close fight with the musket held across his body. The bent posture and forward gaze give the sergeant a different job from a neatly aligned firing figure: he is reacting to an immediate threat.

A leader inside the line
An NCO’s work depended on staying close enough to the men to direct and steady them. The sculpt puts that role inside the action instead of on a separate command base. The figure is useful alongside ordinary riflemen because his posture suggests intervention without requiring a large staff group or a conspicuous scenic centerpiece.
Two sergeants, different visual languages
Compare NA007 with the Black Watch sergeant NA037, who carries a tall polearm. One is a fighting pose with a musket; the other is an upright figure whose weapon helps mark his rank. They make a useful miniature comparison of how K&C represents authority through action, equipment and silhouette. The 71st’s regimental history provides the broader setting.
Give the hands room
Place NA007 where the diagonal weapon can be seen, rather than behind a wall that hides his arms. In a listing, inspect both hands, the bayonet and the lower edge of the coat. This is a pose in which a small bend can change the direction of the whole action, so a second angle is especially valuable.
