King & Country · Napoleonic · NA006
NA006 waits on one knee with the musket held upright. It is a quiet pose that creates a pause between the early 71st figures already firing, loading or preparing to meet an attack.

Waiting is part of the action
A battle scene gains clarity when every figure is not doing the same thing. NA006 can sit behind a low obstacle or at the edge of a firing group, with the face and hands still visible. The upright weapon makes him easy to distinguish from NA004 even when the two appear as small auction thumbnails.
What makes the sculpt identifiable
The pack rises behind the red coat, the pale trouser leg bends sharply at the knee and the long weapon forms a vertical line beside the body. The diced headgear connects him with the early 71st group. Avoid confusing him with the later Black Watch kneeling figures, which have a very different kilted silhouette.
Display and condition notes
A small gap between NA006 and a firing figure makes the change of activity readable. Keep overhead branches or shelf fittings clear of the bayonet. When checking a used example, examine the top of the weapon, the raised knee and the face beneath the hat; those three views reveal far more than a photograph taken only from above.
