King & Country · Afrika Korps · AK112
AK112 contains two lightly wounded Afrika Korps soldiers awaiting transport. One sits on a crate and the other on the ground; both have visible knee bandages. Their pale and green clothing distinguishes the pair without requiring different poses of the same figure.

Review
The seated poses suit the subject. Neither figure looks like a dramatic casualty sculpt reused as a resting soldier, and the different seating heights give the pair some variety. It is a worthwhile companion to AK110’s Medical Officer, although the two wounded men also form a complete subject on their own. There is no stretcher or attendant in this release.
Behind the firing line
The U.S. Army’s 1945 handbook describes German divisional medical companies and motorized ambulance platoons, reflecting the organization needed to move wounded men through the rear services. AK112 represents people waiting within that larger process, rather than a complete aid station. Even relatively mobile casualties still had to leave the battle area and reach further care.
