King & Country · Texas Revolution · RTA092
RTA092 changes the scale of an RTA display without requiring a complete fort. Its decorated entrance, upper openings and rough roofline provide a recognizable architectural backdrop, while the shallow depth leaves room for figures in front.

The Alamo has not always looked the same
The Alamo’s history of the church explains that the Spanish mission building was unfinished and that the U.S. Army later added its first roof and the familiar rounded crest. The present landmark therefore contains changes made after 1836. RTA092’s irregular upper edge is worth noticing when comparing it with modern tourist photographs; the model should be read as a historical interpretation, not simply a miniature of today’s postcard view.
Look at the entrance before adding scenery
The doorway and its surrounding ornament provide a strong central focus. Upper windows and side openings create smaller dark shapes across the pale stonework. Keep the area immediately in front of the entrance relatively clear if you want that architectural rhythm to remain visible. A mass of figures across the door can turn a detailed backdrop into an expensive wall that nobody can properly see.
The church was part of a larger position
The official Digital Battlefield places the church within the wider Alamo compound and shows how the site changed. For a compact shelf, the façade can stand for the setting. For a reconstruction, it is only one component: outer defenses and their relationship to the building need separate planning. A ladder bearer approaching a wall and artillery serving a defensive position should not automatically be crowded onto the church threshold.
Buying a large scenic piece
Ask for photographs of the rear, lower corners, top edge and openings as well as the front. Distinguish the sculpted rough stone from fresh chips by comparing color and texture with the reference image. Confirm the seller is offering RTA092 rather than an earlier Alamo façade, and ask whether any figures in the listing are included. Sagers records this version’s release in May 2015. Its size makes packing and shipping worth discussing before judging the total price.
