King & Country · Texas Revolution · RTA032
RTA032 makes the Alamo feel like a defended position. Its field gun and three crewmen introduce a shared task, with the broad carriage and different working poses creating a scene that is more than a row of individual riflemen.

Artillery was central to the fortress
The Alamo’s surviving 16-pounder cannon has a history that includes capture by Texian forces at Béxar in 1835. It illustrates how weapons could change hands before the 1836 siege. Sagers describes RTA032 as defenders using a captured Mexican field piece. That makes capture and reuse a useful historical theme, but it does not identify this model as the museum’s 16-pounder or establish its caliber.
Arrange the crew around their work
Start with the gun, then turn each figure toward the part of the piece suggested by its hands and posture. Leave room around the wheel hubs and behind the carriage. Crowding all three men into a straight line removes the relationship that gives this set its interest. A diagonal gun position often shows more of the barrel, wheels and crew simultaneously than a view directly down the muzzle.
A compact alternative to a whole fort
A short wall and the artillery group can imply a larger defensive position without requiring the entire Alamo façade. Keep the wall low enough that the barrel has a plausible field of fire and the crew remain visible. Travis can add a named character, but the gun team already supplies the main narrative: several people working one weapon. The separate façade is scenery, not part of RTA032’s recorded contents.
Count, inspect, then compare the price
Ask for individual photographs of the three crewmen and both sides of the gun. Check wheel rims and spokes, the barrel, carriage projections and the long crew implement. Packaging should keep the figures from striking the wheels in transit. Sagers records September 2006 release and September 2011 retirement. A cheaper incomplete example and a complete boxed set are different purchases; the original contents give you a concrete basis for comparing them.
