King & Country · Vietnam · VN002
The first thing to notice about VN002 is how much of the figure sits below the rifle. The Marine folds into a compact seated position, with his arms brought together around the scoped weapon. His head, hands and rifle form the main line of attention. He reads differently from a standing rifleman even before the telescope becomes visible.

A specialist subject, not a named portrait
K&C’s release description discusses the Winchester Model 70 and the M40, both bolt-action rifles associated with Marine sniping in Vietnam. The accompanying description identifies a seated sniper but does not name a particular serviceman. Do not turn the figure into Carlos Hathcock simply because that is the best-known name in the subject. A famous biography and an anonymous catalog sculpt are different kinds of record.
Build the setting around the rifle height
A wall that works for a standing figure may completely block this seated sniper. Before fixing scenery in place, look at the model from rifle height and from the angle at which visitors will see it. A broken corner or open edge often explains the position more clearly than a deep window recess. Give the forward muzzle enough space that it does not vanish behind foliage or another figure’s equipment.
The small details that identify the release
The scope, barrel and relationship of the arms are important comparison points in an online listing. Request a side view to look for a bent barrel, a repaired scope or paint rubbed from the hands and helmet. A frontal photograph can conceal all three. Keep VN002 separate from the prone and kneeling firing Marines in your inventory. The seated position is not merely a cosmetic variation: it changes the height and visual rhythm of the whole group.
