The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS164
An extended arm points across the scene while the officer kneels with his weapon lowered beside him. WS164 combines an emphatic gesture with a bright camouflage uniform, making the figure a low command subject within the Normandy infantry group.

The title describes a formation, not the officer’s age
King & Country presents him as a veteran officer transferred from 1st SS to lead the younger men of the Hitlerjugend formation. The HJ designation therefore should not turn this particular figure into a teenage recruit.
The distinction is useful when reading the miniature as history. The manufacturer’s intended contrast is between experienced leadership and inexperienced soldiers, rather than an entire formation made up of men of the same age.
Normandy’s history includes the prisoners
The Canadian War Museum’s Normandy exhibition describes the young, heavily indoctrinated soldiers of 12th SS and their fighting against Canadian troops. It also addresses their killing of prisoners.
A 1945 investigation preserved in Harvard’s Nuremberg collection records evidence concerning multiple incidents. That history belongs with the formation, even when an individual collectible concentrates on uniform and battlefield pose.
The pointing arm needs open space
The arm forms a long horizontal line above the bent legs. Its direction can connect the officer to other figures, while the lowered weapon leaves the gesture unobstructed.
The camouflage continues over the jacket, trousers and helmet cover. Brown equipment and the darker weapon interrupt the pattern, preventing the figure from becoming a single busy surface.
A lower leader within a larger scene
A kneeling officer can sit in front of standing infantry without hiding their faces. Place him so the hand points into meaningful space, rather than directly into another figure’s back.
WS164 adds both a recognizable command gesture and a reason to examine how the manufacturer represents leadership in the Hitlerjugend division. The collecting detail and the difficult historical context are best read together.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS164 product record lists a release date of September 2010 and a retirement date of October 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
