The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS010
WS010 combines its figures with a piece of damaged brickwork. The wall gives the machine-gun group a setting immediately, while the differing poses keep the little position from looking like a line of identical soldiers.

Read the photograph as a group
The archived title identifies an MG42 gun group plus wall. In the reference image, the broken brick section sits in front of the weapon, with the figures gathered behind and alongside it. The projecting gun and the separate wall are both useful identification clues.
This is one of those releases where the short name matters. A loose group described simply as “German machine gunners” may omit the scenery that formed part of WS010’s original presentation.
A fragment of a building changes the scale
The wall gives the figures something larger to relate to without requiring a whole house. On a shelf, it establishes a boundary between the men and the space in front of them.
Keep that open space visible. Additional rubble can easily conceal the gun or overwhelm the small scenic piece that already provides the composition’s structure. The set works as a compact position because the viewer can still follow the figures’ attention.
Keeping the historical identity clear
The WS range represents Waffen-SS subjects. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s overview explains the organization’s military role and involvement in the Holocaust and other war crimes. That history belongs alongside the study of its equipment and uniforms.
The surviving product record does not establish a particular street or battle for this group. Its value as a catalog entry lies in the identifiable combination of weapon team and scenery, rather than an invented combat episode.
What to compare in a listing
Ask for a view of the complete group, the wall and the projecting equipment. A tightly cropped figure photograph can leave the most distinctive component outside the frame. Keeping those parts together preserves what makes WS010 different from another machine-gun release.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS010 product record identifies this release but leaves its release and retirement dates blank. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
