The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS011
The raised hand in WS011 gives this three-figure group a focal point. Around it, a long shoulder-held launcher and a low rifleman stretch the composition sideways, creating a very different silhouette from a standing infantry line.

The title leaves room for observation
The archived record calls the release a “Three Figure Ambush Set” but supplies little additional description. The saved reference photograph therefore does much of the identification work: three men, a prominent tubular weapon, a raised arm and a prone firing pose.
Those visible details are more dependable than assigning a named unit or encounter to an abbreviated seller’s title. The catalog keeps the original group together while leaving unsupported specifics open.
Low figures need a useful viewing angle
On a high shelf, a prone figure can almost disappear behind its own base edge. A slightly elevated viewing angle reveals the full arrangement and allows the differences between the poses to register.
The standing visual accent is the signalling arm. Avoid placing a tall scenic object directly behind it; a quieter background lets the gesture remain readable. The group already has enough variation to work with a small amount of terrain.
Studying the figures in context
These are Waffen-SS subjects within King & Country’s WS range. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum documents both the organization’s wartime operations and its participation in Nazi mass murder. A collecting reference should retain that context rather than treating the uniform as an isolated design.
Why the complete trio matters
A three-figure set can lose its identity surprisingly quickly when its pieces enter a mixed lot. WS011’s different heights and weapons give collectors several clues for reuniting the group.
Compare the actual poses with the photograph, including the long weapon and raised hand, instead of relying on the word “ambush” alone. The release earns a separate place in the catalog through that particular combination of actions.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS011 product record identifies this release but leaves its release and retirement dates blank. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
