The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH041

WH041 combines a kneeling stance with the compact outline of an MP40. The figure’s covered helmet and forward-held weapon make a different silhouette from the riflemen on either side of it in the WH sequence.

The catalog title and the weapon name

The original title uses “Schmeisser,” while the description identifies the weapon as an MP40. Keeping both terms in the entry helps collectors find the release under familiar listing language without losing the more specific designation.

The reference photo is especially useful here: the short weapon and its magazine look quite different from a long rifle when the whole figure is visible.

A range of equipment within infantry

The 1944 U.S. report on German infantry organization describes formations as combinations of different weapons and roles. That contemporary assessment provides context for comparing the various armed figures in a miniature group.

WH041 does not supply a named unit or individual. Its distinctiveness lies in the equipment and posture that the sculpt actually shows.

The covered helmet adds texture

In the saved image, the helmet covering breaks up the smooth shape seen on several neighbouring WH releases. Together with the kneeling position, it provides a useful visual contrast.

A clear side angle shows the magazine and hands. A high wall in front of the figure would conceal much of that identification.

Why the exact code matters

The range includes several kneeling soldiers. WH041 is the MP40 figure in this particular pose and appearance, rather than an interchangeable label for any German kneeling infantryman. Preserve those distinctions when assembling a reference record or checking a loose example.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH041 product record lists a release date of November 2015 and a retirement date of October 2020. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
