King & Country · WWII U.S. Marines · USMC024

USMC024 holds an M1 carbine firmly to the shoulder, with one knee down and the other raised. The weapon’s short proportions and projecting magazine distinguish it from the longer Garands carried by many neighboring USMC releases. A pistol holster provides a second visible clue to his equipment.

King & Country USMC024 Marine Kneeling Firing Carbine shown from multiple angles
King & Country reference views of USMC024. One kneeling Marine with an M1 carbine and holstered pistol.

The M1 carbine was developed as a lighter personal weapon for duties that made a full-size rifle burdensome. It used its own .30 Carbine ammunition, not the Garand’s .30-06 cartridge. Sharing the designation “M1” did not make these two weapons versions of the same rifle, and neither their ammunition nor their tactical limitations were identical.

King & Country supplies a Marine with both carbine and sidearm, but the pose alone does not establish his rank. It is more accurate to describe the visible equipment than to turn every carbine carrier into a lieutenant. Officers, NCOs and men carrying specialist loads all form part of the broader historical context.

Review

The low, balanced firing stance is direct and convincing in the product views. The shorter weapon changes the proportions of the pose without needing an exaggerated gesture. This is a useful contrast with the Garand figures because the distinction is in the armament, not just in a new catalog number.
