King & Country · WWII U.S. Marines · USMC011
The tanks on his back identify USMC011 before the weapon in his hands does. King & Country depicts one Marine leaning forward with a flamethrower projector held at waist height, its hose curving back to the pack. Green utilities and a camouflage-covered helmet tie him visually to the range’s riflemen, but the bulky equipment gives him a very different silhouette.

In the set: One Marine with backpack flamethrower.
Getting close enough
King & Country identifies the equipment as an M2. Its purpose in the Pacific was to reach defenders inside caves and fortified positions that rifle fire could not easily silence. The operator still had to approach the target, carrying the fuel and pressure equipment himself. The miniature makes that physical burden visible without adding a plume of model flame that would fix the scene at the instant of discharge.
The subject belongs to an assault task, rather than a separate army of flamethrower troops. Riflemen, automatic weapons and other supporting arms created the circumstances in which an operator could reach a strongpoint. That relationship is more informative than treating the figure as a solitary bunker-clearing weapon.
Review
The forward lean and clearly separated pack, hose and projector make this an immediately legible specialist figure. The absence of a flame effect leaves the action open: he could be advancing or preparing to fire. Its strongest feature is the equipment-driven pose; a precise island, unit or individual is not established by the release.
